The room was spacious and clean, with a kitchenette that was convenient for our stay. Parking felt tight at times, and I noticed the WiFi was unreliable. There's a fun game room which was a nice bonus. Overall, a decent place but I'd hope for better internet next time.

The games room is a fun addition for families. The WiFi was really unreliable and made it hard to plan our days. the rooms were clean.

Just wanted to share my experience staying at Lamplighter. The room was pretty cozy and clean, and the beds were super comfy with different pillow options that I really appreciated. The AC worked well, though I had to move the dark drapes away from the vents to cool the room properly at night. The breakfast spread was decent, with a variety of options like waffles, fruit, yogurt, and cereal. it wasn't very crowded during breakfast time. They had hard-boiled eggs and good coffee in the dining room, which I enjoyed. The WiFi speed was surprisingly excellent throughout my stay, so no complaints there. The staff were friendly and helpful, which made the overall experience more pleasant. The hotel grounds were well-kept, with beautiful roses and nice landscaping. The pool area was a great spot to relax and soak up some sun. On the downside, the walls were a bit thin, so I could hear my neighbors at times. the surrounding area had more homeless people than before, which might bother some guests. And the parking was limited, making it a bit challenging to find a spot, especially late at night. Lamplighter is a good choice if you're looking for a budget-friendly option with clean rooms, friendly staff, and convenient amenities.

Me and my squad hit up the 100-acre zoo and explored like Jurassic Park IRL. The affordable hotel near SDSU had cozy beds and yummy brekkie. We even caught some sick rays at the pool in between jamming in the living room of our suite.
Yo, we were craving a bangin' game room to keep the party vibes going all night long. More fun stuff for young peeps would've been a game-changer!

The location is great, close to good restaurants and attractions.
I booked a king bed room but got a queen. The bathroom fan was really noisy and the DVD player didn't work.

I enjoyed the clean room, comfy beds, and the nearby BBQ restaurant. The Orca Encounter and USS Midway Museum were fantastic! I loved exploring the city with the San Diego Trolley.

The rooms were clean and had everything you need for a trip, with full kitchen facilities and a comfy bed. The breakfast had a good selection, from cereals to boiled eggs. The location is convenient, with plenty of nearby eateries and shops. Plus, getting around with the local bus card was a breeze, allowing easy travel to the harbor area and downtown without the hassle of driving and parking.
The rooms could use a bit of updating, but they were still more than acceptable. Some guests experienced issues with the TV, but the staff tried their best to resolve them promptly.

Clean, comfy rooms and great breakfast. Convenient location near restaurants. Family-friendly with clean pool and arcade.
My wife says that a playground would enhance the family experience.

Impressed by the well-stocked breakfast and friendly staff. Convenient location, a short drive to SeaWorld and Old Town San Diego. Appreciated the free DVD rentals and the option for a kitchenette in some rooms.
Noise from a neighboring room due to active children late at night was a bit bothersome.
